ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC is First 8-Core Ryzen 7 Powered Gaming Laptop

Through an event that ASUS Philippines held yesterday, the Taiwanese company, via its gaming sub-brand Republic of Gamers, locally launched the world's first gaming laptop powered by the new and powerful AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor called the ROG Strix GL702ZC.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers Strix GL702ZC is a seriously powerful gaming machine, thanks to its AMD Ryzen 7 1700 chip embedded right into its core. How powerful you may ask? Well, as pointed out by on their website, apart from being equipped with 8 cores and 16 threads configurations, the Ryzen 7 1700 is about 50% more powerful than Intel's 7-gen Core i7 processor.

Working alongside the Ryzen 7 1700 chip, which clock speed can be boosted up to 3.7GHz, is the AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card with 4GB DDR5 VRAM. These two processing power will provide users seamless multi-tasking operations whether they are light or heavy tasks such as gaming in high settings or content creation. As for the ROG Strix GL702ZC's storage, right out of the box users will have 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD which can be expanded up to 512GB.

This new gaming beast from ASUS sports the usual ROG laptop design language all complete with black color and orange accents combination as well as the Republic of Game logo. The ROG Strix GL702ZC will be available in the Philippines some time in late October for a retail price of Php99,995. A lower configuration with Ryzen 5 1600, 6-core and 12 threads, will also be released for Php84,995.
