Huawei to Launch Smartphone with Quad-Camera in China on Sept 22

The world's second largest smatrtphone maker, Huawei, is set to unleash a brand new smartphone offering in China this coming September 22. According to the recently revealed invite poster, this device will be called Maimang 6 which is reportedly to sport dual camera on the back and another dual camera on the front.

The Huawei Maimang 6 will be exclusively launched and released in China, just like last year's Maimang 5. However, Huawei is also releasing this series outside of the Chinese market under G series. Maimang 5 was released as G9 Plus. If this same route is still to be followed by Huawei, we are looking at the G10 (or G10 Plus) as its international variant.

What is interesting here is it's leaked specs that reached the internet a couple of days ago, thanks to TENAA website, a mobile certification agency in China. It will be the first device from Huawei to feature the now-trending 18:9 aspect ratio on its display ( upcoming Mate 10 phablet is also expected to have the same) and it will be the very first smartphone in the world to officially feature quad-camera set up - two on the front and two on the rear.

According to TENAA listing, the Huawei Maimang 6 will have a 5.9-inch display with Full HD resolution (2160 x 1080), with 18:9 aspect ratio and near bezel-less screen. As for the cameras, it is reported to sport 16MP + 2MP combination on its rear and 13MP + 2MP on the front panel. See other specs below.
