Is this the upcoming budget-friendly Nokia 2 smartphone with huge 4000mAh battery?

HMD Global appears to be preparing to launch its most affordable Android smartphone yet in the form of the so called Nokia 2. This is because a new leak coming from a trusted tipster named Evan Blass aka @evleaks on Twitter showing what appears to be a press render of the Nokia 2 in two color options.

One of the most interesting things about this particular smartphone, in addition to bearing the cheapest price tag among its current brothers, is that it is reported to feature a massive 4000mAh battery pack. That is according to Roland Quandt of winfure.de website who spotted a listing on FCC site recently.

Now being a rumored super budget-friendly handset, this also means not so impressive specs to come with it nor an edge-to-edge display. If that's what you are looking for a budget device, this Nokia 2 is definitely not for you. However, if you want to just have a phone capable of running basic functions and a few cool apps, then you may want to consider this one when it comes out.

For the display, some reports claim it to be between 4.7-inch and 5-inch with 720p. And the inside the device is said to be a Snapdragon 210 chip paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. Camera wise, there would be 8MP for the rear and 5MP for the front. Plus of course it's going to run on a stock version of Android 7.1 Nougat. Dual SIM and LTE support are also speculated to show up with this smartphone.

Nokia 2 rumored specs:
  • 5-inch display
  • 1280 x 720 resolution
  • Snapdragon 210 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage
  • 8MP rear camera
  • 5MP front camera
  • Android 7.1 Nougat
  • Dual SIM
  • 4G LTE
