OPPO A71 Lands in the Philippines for just Php8,990

OPPO Philippines has just launched a brand new and affordable smartphone in the country a couple of days ago. Meet the new OPPO A71. It is one of the cheapest and with the most recent version of mobile OS being offered by OPPO Philippines right now. It runs on the company's own ColorOS 3.1 which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

The 5.2-inch HD display-equipped A71 handset comes in either gold or black color option. Interestingly, it is immediately available in Matte Black finish which looks really sleek and premium. Underneath the unibody metal casing are a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor partnered with 3GB RAM and default 16GB internal storage. It supports microSD card for storage expansion up to 256GB.

On the camera side, it does not appear to be selfie centric one though as the rear shooter is much bigger than its counterpart on the front panel. There is a 13MP back camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while on the front is a 5MP camera with its f/2.4 aperture lens.

Connectivity options come the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS as well as 4G LTE support and dual-SIM functionality. I am just not sure if it's a hybrid type of SIM tray or not. And thankfully, it comes with a massive power supply at 3000mAh. Given its entry-level set of specs, the 3000mAh battery pack should definitely last a full day of use especially with those not-so-heavy users.
