Bentley Continental GT3 Concept from Petron Supercars 2017 Promo Unboxed

Petron Philippines is once again returning with their Supercars Collection 2017 campaign. This promo has a very limited run so if you are one of those car lovers and drivers who love collecting die-cast model of cars or supercars, then you better hurry to collect all these three new iterations before the promo ends early next month.

Before we proceed with my quick unboxing and hands-on of my Petron Supercar 2017 model, let me share with you important details on this year's promo.

These 2017 versions of the much-awaited Petron Supercars Collection will be available at over 700 participating service stations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The models included for this year's supercars are the Bentley Continental GT3 Concept in black, the Lamborghini Avenrador LP700-4 Roadster in orange and Porsche 918 Spyder in red.

These Petron Supercars Collectibles are licensed originals and each comes in a 5-side see-through display box. These are larger scale 1:24 models, made from high-quality die-cast metal with detailed parts. Features include door opening alarm sounds with lights, as well as hood press-activated start-up with rev and acceleration sounds.

How to get one of these or the complete collection? The mechanics is very simple actually, all you have to do is fuel up with or purchase any of the following:

Bentley Continental GT3 Concept Unboxed

Today I just got mine and it is the Bentley Continental GT3 Concept in black. It is a larger scale 1/24 model. As you can see in the first image above, it comes in a nice boxing where its five sides are see-though which is a nice touch so customers won't need to completely open the box when deciding which one to get first as they can see the model upfront and untouched. Inside the box is another frame both for support from the outside box and protection for the inside content. See image below.

By default the car is attached to its platform through screws, it can definitely be detached from it by unscrewing the bolts from the underneath. Unfortunately, I could not find my screwdriver at the time, so I had no option but to play with it for this unboxing post while it is inside the frame.

Aside from well-detailed finish of this Bentley Continental GT3 Concept supercar model, there are also a couple of features that I immediately liked. Now keep in mind that I have never owned any of the previous iterations of these cars from Petron's past promotions, so I almost had no idea what to expect from this little guy here. So when I started playing with it, here are the things I found; its head and tail lights light up, its two doors can be opened, and it produces sounds (Start up, Rev, Acceleration, and Alarm) everytime I open the doors or press the hood (or push the button underneath the platform. As you may have already guessed, this is a battery operated model. Right out of the box, it will come with pre-installed AG-13 (LR44 or L1154) batteries. Aside from the default batteries, the packaging also comes with one extra set (three pieces).

Now that I already have one, I should also get the Lambo and Porsche to complete the trinity before the promo ends on October 6th.
