Fresh from its Galaxy Note 8 announcement, Samsung is back again in the smartphone scene with a brand new offering aimed at Android fans who wants to upgrade their Android experience without breaking their bank accounts or digging too much hole in their pocket. Meet the all-new Galaxy J7 Core bearing a price sticker of just Php9,990 right off the bat.
Samsung Philippines is also positioning this new Galaxy phone as one of the best mid-range gaming smartphones around, thanks to its 2GB of RAM and a 14nm Exynos 7870 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. In fact, it even comes with a couple of Mobile Legends (one of the most popular mobile games of today) freebies.
The device offers a standard 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD or 1280 x 720p resolution. It does not edge-to-edge type of display design though, but that is something we are not expecting yet to arrive at mid-range devices like this. As expected, the Galaxy J7 Core offers looks similar to its J7 brothers, then instead of having a metal-clad housing, its back is made of polycarbonate material.
On the camera department, I am sorry to say that it still does not have dual shooter either on front or back panel. That setup is reserved for the Galaxy J7+ which has recently been made official in Thailand a couple of days ago. Instead, users will have a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture as well as a 5MP selfie shooter equipped with f/2.2 lens and LED flash.
Keeping the power on is a 3000mAh battery right out of the box.
