Samsung Galaxy Note FE Now in the Philippines

Also known as 2016's Galaxy Note 7, the latest Samsung Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition) is now finally in the Philippine market.

Samsung Philippines has formally announced the arrival of this smartphone after it silently arrived at Samsung Experience Stores nationwide a couple of weeks ago. In case you are still not aware of it yet, the Note FE is a resurrected, enhanced and more safe version of the Galaxy Note 7 which was eventually recalled after weeks of being released globally due to users reporting the device catching fire late last year.

Prior to the debacle, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was garnering tons of positive reviews from almost every angle around the globe, until the chaos started which later forced the Korean giant to recall all the released units in the wild. It was a huge mess but it made Samsung even more careful and stonger in releasing new devices. The Galaxy S8 series and the most recent Galaxy Note 8 have been around for months now and not a single same-level issue has been reported so far across the globe. In fact the Note FE was initially made available in South Korea in July of 2017, everything is doing great so far.
So why Samsung re-used the same Galaxy Note 7 parts? Aside from request of many fans and enthusiasts, the Korean company said that it is "Samsung's direct response to the company's commitment to responsibly dispose the Galaxy Note7 devices."

"The move to re-engineer a flagship device to create an environmentally friendly, safe, and ultimately improved reincarnation of a fan favorite is meant to satisfy loyal followers of the Galaxy Note series," shares Nio Judalena, Marketing Head for IT and Mobile at Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp.

So with this Galaxy Note FE, Samsung decided to bring back this device and used almost every component found on the Note 7 minus the large 3500mAh, which is now at 3200mAh, and also for a much lower SRP. Here users will still have the large 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, its roomy 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB, the 12MP rear and 5MP front camera combo which is one of the most praised features of the device according to reviews, down to the IP68 Water and Dust resistance feature, and of course the S-Pen are all returning with the Galaxy Note FE.
