Vivo V7 Now Officially Announced with the Same 24MP Front Camera and 18:9 Display

Following tons of teasers and leaks, and the success of its bigger V7+ sibling, the much talked about Vivo V7 smartphone is now officially launched in the Philippine market sporting almost the same specs and features found on the bigger brother but for a much more affordable asking price. Priced only at Php14,990, this new smartphone is bound to compete head to head with similarly-priced smartphones sporting the new trending 18:9 aspect ratio display from its competitors this holiday shopping season.

In terms of design and major highlights, there is really not much of a difference between these V7 and V7+. But of course we have to point them out so we can see what exactly we are getting from each of them.

First off is the screen size. While the two smartphones have the same 18:9 aspect ratio and that nearly bezel-less display, one of their differences is the display size. V7+ sports 5.99-inch panel, V7 has of course a smaller 5.7-inch display. Resolution wise, nothing changed. Users will still get the same 1440 x 720 resolution with the V7.
Next is the internal storage. On the V7+, that comes with 64GB right out of the box. On V7, only 32GB is offered. Still expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

Third is, obviously, the battery size. The original one had 3225mAh battery when launched in the country a couple of months ago, this V7 on the other hand has 3000mAh, which is not that disappointing actually. Knowing this V7 handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor and having its HD+ display, that battery size should be enough to last the phone at least throughout daytime and a few hours after.

Apart from those mentioned above, the rest remains the same. And speaking of the same set of specs, it's actually not a bad thing at all. For a Php3,000 price difference, you are basically getting the same powerful device (vs V7+) in a much smaller form factor. Also, you still get to enjoy its whopping 24MP front facing camera paired with 16MP rear facing shooters. See rest of specs below.
