ASUS ZenFone 5 to Sport a "Notch" Similar to iPhone X

In just one week time, ASUS will finally and officially unwrap its upcoming ZenFone 5 series at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. And while we get closer and closer to the said annual tech event, more and more leaked images and unconfirmed information are flooding the tech scene both here and abroad.

A big portion of those rumors and leaks is surrounding ASUS' ZenFone 5 Series. One of the latest is coming from a Twitter user under the handle @bgssilva and what it has on the table is the closest confirmation we can get as to how authentic the previous leaks were (above is one of those leaks courtesy of -  a live photo of the alleged standard ZenFone 5 variant. See below.

What's surprising in this leaked photo is the phone, claimed to be the yet-to-be-announced ASUS ZenFone 5, sports an all-screen display front panel and a notch on the upper screen strikingly very similar to iPhone X's face.

The notch seems to be smaller than the one found on the iPhone X though, and it shows only housing the front camera, earpiece, and sensors.

An Antutu benchmark score that leaked and also got spotted by eagle-eyed tech enthusiasts tells us a few important details about this so called ZenFone 5.

As we can see in the screenshot image above, a certain ASUS Z01RD (aka ZenFone 5) sports an Android 8.0 Oreo software, the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset together with a massive 6GB of RAM and a 32GB internal storage, which is pretty unusual storage size for a device this high-end if found to be accurate. In addition to that, a resolution is shown pegged at 2246 x 1080 which is also a not so common pixel arrangement for a smartphone and this sort of confirms the notch presence on the said device.

Whatever the real deal is, we will all know when ASUS officially announces the ZenFone 5 lineup on February 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
