OPPO F7 with a Notch Confirmed by OPPO India

While the OPPO R15 and R15 Plus are already confirmed, though not officially launched yet, to have the iPhone X-like notch on its screen, another upcoming OPPO-made smartphone has just been teased and you guess - it will have a notch too - thanks to OPPO India's Twitter page.

The smartphone will be called F7, a direct follow up to last year's F5 series.

In addition to the OPPO India's teaser, Economic Times got an exclusive report citing tips from their source that the F7 does indeed exist and that it will also be formally launched at the end of the month in the Indian market.

The report claimed that the F7 will have a 6.2-inch FHD+ display accompanied by extremely thin bezels from all corners achieving an 89.09% screen-to-body ratio. Included in the report is an image (above) claiming to show  the said upcoming smartphone in all its glory with the new 25MP selfie camera (versus F5's 20MP) which is most likely to feature OPPO's latest A.I. Beauty Recognition Technology.

Judging the looks of the phone in the image, we can safely assume that this F7 will still have fingerprint sensor that is likely placed on the rear together with the back camera. Dual rear camera this time, maybe? Probably not, OPPO F series has always been focusing on the selfie camera, rear cameras in this series either had a single lens when front had 2 shooters (F3) or a much lower resolution than the front facing one like those on the F5.

The now-deleted initial tweet by OPPO India about the F7 included a March 27 launch date.
