Trailer for Another "The Jungle Book" Adaptation Titled "Mowgli" Released

No this is not the other The Jungle Book movie adaptation that was released by Disney and directed by Jon Favreau back in 2016. This one is a much darker version movie based on Rudyard Kipling's novel of the same name, is from Warner Bros, is directed by none other than Andy Serkis, and is titled "Mowgli". After years and years of waiting, the first official trailer for Mowgli has just finally been released online. Watch it below.

Like the 2016's the Jungle Book live action movie, this Mowgli also managed to snatch in a hell of a cast. Here we have Christian Bale as Bagheera (panther), Cate as Kaa (snake), Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan (tiger), Naomie Harris as Nisha (female wolf), and Andy Serkis as Baloo (bear).

Below is the featurette that was released alongside the trailer to give us more background on the production and more details on the movie itself.

Mowgli's official synopsis:

"The story follows the upbringing of the human child Mowgli, raised by a wolf pack in the jungles of India. As he learns the often harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera, Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own. All but one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan. But there maybe greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins."

Mowgli will hit cinemas in October this year.
