Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Priced at Php11,995 Coming on May 15


Here is another Snapdragon 636 processor-equipped smartphone that you might want to consider besides ZenFone 5, ZenFone Max Pro M1, and possibly the upcoming Nokia X, the much talked about Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has just arrived in the Philippines and will be available for purchase beginning this May 15.

Right off the bat, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 sports 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display with Full HD+ resolution. Alongside the SD636 octa-core chip mentioned above are the Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Also there is a 64GB internal storage on the Redmi Note 5 which is still expandable via microSD card using the second SIM slot.

In terms of software features, the Redmi Note 5 runs on the current Android 8.1 Oreo with the company's own MIUI 9.5 version on top.

Camera wise, this device now as well have dual rear camera set up pegged at 12MP and 5MP combination all equipped with phase detection autofocus and dual tone flash. On the front side sits a 13MP selfie shooter.
