Fortnite Battle Royale Game now Available on Nintendo Switch

Aside from the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Tournament news that was just being released, Epic Games, has also revealed another surprise for its fans and Nintendo Switch users alike. The Fortnite game is now available for download to Nintendo Switch handheld gaming console.

Nintendo Switch is one of the hottest selling gaming devices in the market right now, that being said, Fortnite players will significantly grow even larger than its current over 125 million players worldwide.

If you have been following news about Fortnite in the last couple of months, you will know that the tournament and this Switch release are not the only big things that have been happening around. Just in April, Fortnite for iOS devices was just released (with Android version now on its way) where this release did not only bring the highly successful game to the mobile world, but also the ability to cross play with PC and console machines. And then just last month, players all around the globe was able to play as Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos in the game for a limited time.

There is a little catch though, Nintendo Switch users are not able to cross-play with PS4 platform. Meaning they won't be able to do battles with other PS4 users and their in-game progress on Switch won't be able to sync up with their PS4 version of the game in case Switch users also play Fortnite on their PS4 console (and vice versa). If you want to know why this is happening, The Verge has an explanation on this. But aside from that, Fortnite on Nintendo Switch players will still be able to cross-play and sync their games with other platforms such as Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile.

The Fortnite game can now be downloaded through Nintendo eShop.
