Celebrate Independence Day with these New Philippine Islands Inspired Starbucks Mugs

In the coming few days, the Philippines will celebrate its 120th Independence. And while there are more than a hundred ways to celebrate this anniversary, not just in the country but also around the world, I guess one of the best ways to do it is simply drink our favorite coffee from coffee mugs that its designs are inspired by the country's major islands - Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. I mean, why not?

Today, Starbucks Philippines launches three new designs of their coffee mugs line up themed after the LuzViMinda islands. Alongside each of these mugs are also exclusive Starbucks cards sporting the same theme. Cool right?! This collection is simply called "The Island Series" and everything will be available at all Starbucks stores nationwide starting on June 12, 2018.

Each of the mugs sports each of the Philippine islands' colors and symbols.

The Luzon Island Series mug is a 16oz one and features a glossy decal with gold foil highlighting the night scenes of the business district of Luzon. It is a ceramic mug with outer and flood color in matte vibrant blue. The Starbucks logo is laser engraved on the side of the mug. And it comes in a collector box packaging. The Starbucks card is sold separately for a minimum activation amount of Php500. The mug is priced at Php995.

The Visayas Island Series mug is also a 16oz one. It features a debossed artwork of Sampaguita flowers and coconut palm tree leaves in gold foil representing the beaches in Visayas which the island is known for. It's a ceramic mug with outer and flood color in matte yellow ochre. Complementing the debossed artwork is a laser engraved Starbucks wordmark logo on the mug. Also comes in a collector box packaging. Mug and the Starbucks card are also priced the same at Php995 and P500, respectively.

The Mindanao Island Series, a 16oz mug that features glossy decal of the iconic Vinta boat with a sail in various colors that represent the colorful culture and history of the Mindanao island. Ceramic mug with outer and and flood color in red Bordeaux. Just the other two, it also comes in a collector box packaging. The Starbucks mug and its Starbucks card counterpart are priced Php995 and Php500.

It is important to note that like many other previous limited and exclusive merchandise releases by Starbucks, each of these items will be exclusively available to Starbucks stores and select airports stores they are designed after. And the initial activation amount of each card is consumable.
