ASUS ZenFone Live L1 Will Arrive in the Philippines for Only Php5,995

ASUS Philippines has a brand new budget-friendly ZenFone installment that is due to arrive in the local market later this month. The handset is officially called ZenFone Live L1.

If you remember the ASUS ZenFone Live (unboxing and hands on) that was released last year, then this is that phone's official successor. And as you would expect from follow up smartphones, this ZenFone Live L1 has some upgrades compared to the predecessor, however the pricing is cheaper this time. We are looking at a Php5,995 vs Php6,995 price stickers here. That's interesting actually.

This handset was originally unveiled in May of this year. And during that time, it was being announced with Android Oreo (Go Edition) running it, but according to the latest teaser video posted on ASUS Philippines' official Facebook page, it appears this is not the case anymore. Because you know, if it is, then it should have been highlighted in the video. But I could be wrong. Let's wait for additional information about this device in the coming days.

So for now, what we know is that the ZenFone Live L1 will follow its predecessor's main offerings such as BeautyLive technology which enables users to apply real time beautification functionality on their photos or videos and then the livestreaming centric capability. Users will still be able to livestream to their Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube accounts within the ASUS-exclusive app as well as apply beautification on the fly.

What's new on the ZenFone Live L1? You might ask. Well, there are a couple. First off is the design, it looks like the ZenFone Live L1 has a much better design now compared to the previous one. And with these new upgrades, comes the new 18:9 aspect ratio screen which is now becoming a standard in new devices giving users a much taller display (5.5 inches) with the same HD+ or 1440x720 display resolution. The processor, also, has just been upgraded to Snapdragon 425 chipset with the same 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage combo. Face Unlock is another brand new feature fond on this installment as well as a much much bigger 3000mAh battery pack.

The rest of the specs and features are relatively the same, which is really not a bad thing at all compared to its predecessor and its official local pricing.
