Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Leaks and Rumors So Far

The Korean electronics giant, Samsung, is currently set to officially launch the next Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 in New York City. This is of course has already been confirmed by the company itself through media invites that they sent out a couple of weeks ago. That being said, we now have a little over two weeks to finally see what Samsung has been preparing in store for its customers through the Note 9 phablet. And as usual, the closer we get to the official launch of any flagship devices, the more we get to hear and see leaks and rumors surrounding the phone. Below is some of those which we really cannot confirm until announced, so take them with a grain of salt.

At the top of the list is the color variants. A couple of photos have emerged online claiming to be the Galaxy Note 9 itself in its official color versions. Two of those are in Deep Blue Sea and Lilac Purple. The former is the latest one in terms of press render leaks, it's the same color variant that even Evan Blass posted on his Twitter account. And since Evan Blass has been pretty accurate on his leaks, this is already an almost confirmation that the shown design and color are in existence.

Speaking of design, it appears that the Galaxy Note 9 will not be that far from its Galaxy Note 8 predecessor. They are extremely similar in terms of outside appearance with minor tweaks, of course, assuming that this is the real Galaxy Note 9 that Samsung will announce on August 9.

The S-Pen, is the unique offering of Samsung Galaxy Note line not only among Samsung's smartphones but also the competition. And again, if the speculations are accurate, then this is going to be the first time the S-Pen will be equipped with Bluetooth functionality. This may include tons of new features, but some of the most talked about functions is its ability to control the Galaxy Note 9 remotely via playing music, take photos or as a camera shutter, unlock the phone, and many others. And oh, one of the variants will come in yellow as shown in the invite Samsung sent out.

Technical specifications wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with dual 12MP camera setup on the back where one of those is a telephoto lens, and then on the front an 8MP selfie shooter. For processor, either a Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chips depending on the market paired with at least 6GB of RAM and internal storage up to 256GB right out of the box.

It could still be powered by the current Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience UI on top. Some of the exciting features we have been hearing around the internet is that Samsung will finally introduce a fingerprint scanner situated right under the display, a throne currently being held by Vivo. If not in the Note 9, it could definitely be in the Galaxy S10 series, as per reports as well.

A smartwatch currently being referred to as the Galaxy Watch is also part of the rumor mill claiming to be launching alongside this flagship phablet. It will be powered by WearOS, an Android OS version created for smartwatches and wearables.

Another leaked photo points to what is called the Samsung Wireless Charger Duo. This is claimed to be launched as well together with the Note 9 and Galaxy Watch which will enable users to charge up to two phones or a phone and the Galaxy Swatch at the same time, wirelessly.
