Star Wars: The Clone Wars Animated Series Continues

Lucasfilm was supposed to complete the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series a few years back. The sixth season should have been the final one, but when Disney officially bought Lucasfilm, it was suddenly cancelled in 2013 leaving a lot of things unfinished. And after the acquisition, instead of getting the continuation to the Clone Wars series, what we got was the Star Wars Rebels which just ended its 4th and final season last March.

Today though, one of the many best news coming out of this year's San Diego Comic-Con in the United States of America, is the surprise release of Star Wars: Clone Wars trailer. Watch it below.

This new Clone Wars installment will consist of 12 new episodes which tell give us more information and events leading to the events in the Revenge of the Sith (Episode III) full-length film. In the series we will see the return of its famous and fan-favorite characters like Ashoka Tano and Captain Rex as well as the entire franchise's Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
