Huawei Mate 10
At this year's IFA tech expo in Berlin, Huawei officially announced its latest and most powerful processor to date which is the HiSilicon Kirin 980, a couple of new colorways for the current P20 smartphone series, and home smartspeaker powered by Alexa. And one more important thing that many attendees at the event were hoping to hear. That is the much anticipated Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro devices will be officially unveiled this coming October 16 in London.

Nothing more has been revealed about the Mate 20 series after that particular announcement, except for the fact that these are the first devices to be powered by this Kirin 980 processor right out of the box.

But if we take a look at what the rumor mills is suggesting about these upcoming Mate 20 smartphones, we are told that it is reported be sporting triple-lens camera setup on its back with Leica-branding just like on the P20 Pro variant, an Essential Phone-like notch, and a massive 4200mAh battery upfront. Some even say these phones could be equipped with Android 9 Pie right out of the box.

October 16 is still more than a month away. And while we have already seen and heard tons of rumors and leaks about this upcoming Huawei flagship, expect to see more and more before the official launch date. So stay tuned.
