Samsung Joins Triple-Rear Camera Bandwagon with the Galaxy A7 (2018)

Samsung has just officially joined the triple-rear camera race with the announcement of its new mid-range smartphone offering - meet the Galaxy A7 2018.

So like I mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has three camera lenses on its back. The primary shooter is pegged at 24MP with autofocus and f/1.7 aperture, second one being a 5MP with f/2.2 aperture which focuses on capturing depth and a third shooter at 8MP with f/2.4 aperture and is an ultrawide camera. The front facing camera is also massive coming in a 24MP configuration.

Running the smartphone is an Android 8.0 Oreo OS. In terms of store, there will be 4GB/6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB ROM variants all powered by an unnamed 2.2GHz octa-core processor. We don't know yet which of those configurations will hit the Philippine market soon.

Samsung Galaxy A7 specs:
  • 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display
  • 2220 x 1080 resolution
  • 2.2GHz octa-core processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • 64GB internal storage
  • Supports microSD card up to 256GB
  • 24MP+5MP+8MP triple-rear camera with depth and ultra wide angle lenses
  • 24MP front camera
  • Android 8.0 Oreo
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC

Now this is like a "soft announcement" if you will. Samsung is scheduled to have another media event this coming October 11 where it is expected to give us more ideas on this new phone and that should include availability as well as pricing.
