Sony's PS1 Gaming Console Returns as PlayStation Classic
The legendary PlayStation 1 is coming back to life as Sony just officially announced the PlayStation Classic, a retro gaming console based on the original one that was released in the late 90s. Just like Nintendo's NES Classic and SNES Classic devices, the PS Classic will come loaded with "genre-defining" games we knew and loved all in its original format.
In terms of looks or aesthetics, the PlayStation Classic is gonna look pretty much the same as the original console except that it is about 40% smaller. Pre-installed right out of the box, it will come with 20 classic and iconic games such as the fan favorite Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash, and Wild Arms to name a few. Sony has yet to reveal the rest of the lineup.
While the device itself is a lot smaller, the two controllers that it will come with will be in original size just like the ones they are designed after, and that's a good news too.
It appears that Sony plans to release this PlayStation Classic in the Philippines as well as the company also announced its global release date which is to be on December 3, 2018. It will bear an SRP of $99.99, that's in the US and it's before tax. So most likely when it gets here, it will be offered for around Php6,000.
I hope you are doing great, cheers!
