Nokia 5.1 Plus to Come with Free Portable Gamepad
HMD Global Philippines through its official Facebook page has posted a brand new photo and announcement about their upcoming Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone in the country which is currently set to be released locally beginning October 29.
As you can see in the image above, it says there that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will come with a free unnamed portable gamepad controller. It appears that HMD Global is positioning this 5.1 Plus as a gaming device as well, maybe in the budget segment, apart from being a great smartphone camera. This device is powered by an octa-core Helio P60 processor from MediaTek and paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, in case you wonder. You can learn more about this device in my hands-on post which link is posted below.

HMD didn't say if the free gamepad is only for limited units or buyers, but one of the comments in the Facebook post asked where they can buy the game pad separately and HMD or Nokia Philippines only responded with "The gamepad comes with the Nokia 5.1 Plus when you purchase it." That being said, I am guessing that each of the Nokia 5.1 Plus smartphone to be offered in the country will actually have this gamepad accessory as part of the packaging, and that sounds cool.
Starting October 29, the Nokia 5.1 Plus can be purchased exclusively via online stores of ArgoMall and MemoXpress for an SRP of Php12,990. Then on November 12, it will be available at authorized retails stores nationwide for the same suggested retails price.
I hope you are doing great, cheers!
