Nokia 7.1 Plus aka X7 Will Be Launched in China on Oct 16
Last week we were invited by HMD Global to an event in Bacolod City to personally witness the local launch of their newest smartphone offerings in the Philippines - the Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 7.1 Plus. These devices were launched in China in July of this year under the names of Nokia X5 and X6, respectively. Tomorrow, October 16, looks like HMD Global is all set up to launch the next in line called the X7 in the Chinese market. The images above were posted by HMD Global itself on their Weibo account in the country.
As the name suggests, it will be equipped with much better specs than the first two, at least according to rumors as of posting. For starters, it will have a Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU as compared to 5.1 Plus' MediaTek Helio P60 and 6.1 Plus' Snapdragon 636 chipset. And the display is said to be at 6.2-inch with Full HD+ resolution.
The camera is expected to be improved as well at 12MP + 13MP combo for the rear with Zeiss optics and 20MP for the selfie shooter. And yes, there is still the notch on the screen, just like its siblings.
And as for the memory and storage, rumors suggest it will have a either 4GB RAM / 64GB internal storage or 6GB RAM / 128GB version, or could be both. And a pure version of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, which is of most likely to get updated to Android Pie soon after release.
Just note that these are just unconfirmed reports as of today. Tomorrow in China we'll get to know if all or any of these are accurate. So stay tuned.
