OPPO R17 Series is Coming to the Philippines

A few days ago, OPPO Philippines made a surprising teaser announcement on their Facebook page - "Never miss another memorable moment with the OPPO R series" - says in the caption of teaser image showing what appears to be a camera lens. This confirms that the Chinese smartphone maker is also bringing the R series  back to the local market following the return of the Find series through the Find X phone that was also  just launched here.

OPPO R series has been one of the best looking and powerful devices OPPO has made in the last couple of years. And sometimes I felt so sad knowing that those devices were not coming to the Philippines as we used to only get the F series (F1 to F9). Thankfully though that is about to change.

Now OPPO PH did not mention at the time of initial posting which R series are coming to the country. But some of the latest teasers the company has posted on their local Facebook page, it is confirmed that the R17 series, which are the latest members of the said line up, are the one - or the ones they are bringing in soon.



Even one of OPPO Philippines' executives shared a teaser of one of the devices' boxing on her Facebook account, see below.


The OPPO R17 and R17 Pro's most notable features are the waterdrop notch on the screen, extremely thin bezels, and the in-display fingerprint scanner. The R17 has dual rear camera while the R17 Pro boasts three shooters on the back. See more specs below.

What is not very known at the moment is if OPPO will bring the two variants in the Philippines. However, knowing that they already mentioned "R series" I guess it is safe to say that these two will definitely arrive on our shore. We'll know more on the official local launch day, which is not revealed as of yet.
