ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 with 5000mAh Battery To Launch Next Month

It is now more than just a rumor and it is absolutely coming as ASUS Indonesia itself already posted a teaser about the ZenFone Max Pro M2's arrival. According to the image above, which the company tweeted earlier, this latest battery king and apparently gaming focused smartphone will be launched on December 11, 2018.

In case you wonder, yes this is going to be the follow up installment to the ZenFone Max Pro M1 that was released in the middle of the year here in the local market. And yes it is gonna be equipped with the same massive and long-lasting 5000mAh battery, a feature that is unique to the Max series of ZenFone devices.

Apart from the usual upgrades that we can expect from this Max Pro M2 such as the Snapdragon 660 from Snapdragon 636, front camera, glass clad back panel etc, and based on the tweeted image above, this device is going to be the first Max from ASUS to sport a notched screen that appears to hold the now 13MP selfie shooter and an LED flash.

Also, the tweeted image seems to shows the phone to have triple rear camera set up, but according to the phone's hands-on video that was spotted and shared by GSMArena, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will only have two cameras on the rear with 13MP+5MP combo, the third circle is the LED flash.

For now, only the launch date for Indonesian market is what we know. Just like the previous ZenFone Max smartphones from ASUS, it is highly likely that this new iteration will also hit the Philippine market in the coming weeks after launch, it is just a matter of waiting and official announcement from ASUS PH.
