This New Smartphone from Sharp Has TWO Notches
Yes you absolutely read that right! This new smartphone from Sharp named Aquos R2 Compact has not just one but two notches on its screen. One for the front camera up top and another near the chin for the fingerprint scanner.
While many users don't like the notch at all and companies are also trying to get rid of it on their latest offerings such as by activating a feature in the display settings that hides the notch and some by designing a slider mechanism to house the front camera, Sharp is doing two notches in one go.
Do we really have people who are going to like that kind of screen design and implementation? We don't really know but apparently Sharp thinks so, that's why this smartphone is now officially in existence.
However, if we don't mind that dual-notch design, we can see that this Sharp Aquos R2 Compact is a pretty powerful smartphone. Flagship level. First off, it bears a 5.2-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, something we still rarely see in many smartphones today. And it has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as well on top of being an IP68 certified handset. Right underneath is an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable internal storage.
As for its cameras, there is one on the rear with 22.6MP that is equipped with f1.9 aperture, optical and electronics image stabilization technologies and then on the front is an 8MP selfie shooter. It got a headphone jack too.
Keeping a lights on is a rather smaller 2500mAh battery pack with support to fast charging tech.
