Xiaomi Redmi Go Is Officially Launching in the Philippines

The first ever Android Go edition smartphone from Xiaomi is officially coming to the country according to the latest announcement of Mi Philippines on their Facebook page.

If you are looking for a much much more affordable smartphone from Xiaomi than what the company has already been offering in the Philippines or just an Android Go device from this Chinese brand, this could be the smartphone that you have been waiting for. For sure it will be priced really low, by simply looking at its specs and knowing that this is an Android Go edition device.

Specs wise, the Redmi Go will offer a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with 1GB of RAM and an internal storage of 8GB which is of course can be expanded via microSD function. It will also be equipped with a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter.

We can also expect the usual connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS as well as dual SIM 4G LTE and microUSB from this device. From what we see in here, it appears this phone will have its own dedicated slot for microSD card in addition to the dual SIM slot and that's nice to know if that is the case once Mi Philippines formally unveils everything about this Redmi Go phone.

And perhaps one of the most exciting features of this smartphone is its battery size. According to the announcement material above, it is going to house a massive 3000mAh battery. That huge of a battery on a 5-inch HD device and these not so heavy specs, will definitely last longer on a single charge than non-Android Go devices.
