Huawei Just Confirmed P30 Pro's Leica Quad Camera in this Watermarked Photo

Huawei has just officially announced that the upcoming P30 and P30 Pro flagship smartphones of theirs will be formally launched on March 26 in Paris, France. Apart from the launch date and P30 moniker, nothing more was revealed by the Chinese company. Well that changes today, thanks to Huawei's CEO.

The above photo you see in this post was shared on Weibo by none other than Huawei's CEO Richard Yu celebrating this year's Lantern Festival in the country. As you may have already noticed, there is a watermark in the image giving us details on what phone was used to capture it. While we see that part of the entire watermark is being obscured, it is definitely not enough to completely hide from viewers what particular device was being used in this case, and many thought it was intentional.

The image is clearly being shot on the yet-to-be-announced Huawei P30 Pro and yes, the rumor is accurate all along, that this variant, at least, will be equipped with quad cameras on the back and will be sporting the usual Leica branding just like in the previous P series we have seen. The blurred part, as we can imagine is too short to be the current "Mate 20" smartphone, and even if it was a Mate 20 Pro variant, that phone does not event have a "Leica Quad Camera" as the second line in the watermark partially shows.

One of the main features and teasers that Huawei has been highlighting in its official marketing materials is the zooming capabilities of the P30 series. Some say that Huawei is equipping these new flagships with 10x Lossless Zoom on its main 40MP shooter. If that is the real case here, then this photo here is an example of how powerful the quad rear cameras on P30 Pro are going to be like.

The standard P30 on the other hand is reported to have triple-rear camera with Leica as well similar to what we have first witnessed with last year's Mate 20 Pro variant.
