Huawei's First 5G Foldable Smartphone to be Launched During MWC 2019

Is the very first 5G foldable smartphone from Huawei finally launching at this year's upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona? The answer appears to be a big yes! Well, Huawei has officially sent out invitations for its MWC 2019 event to be held on February 24, 2019.

In the invite, see above, we can clearly see a device being almost-folded in V form suggesting none other than a foldable device. Of course as of this moment a lot of things are still unknown about this device except for that Huawei confirmed it will definitely be unveiled at the event and will be equipped with 5G support and will be powered by their newest Balong 5000 chipset.

In addition to Huawei, Samsung is also expected to launch its first foldable smartphone this year, hopefully during their Unpacked Event on February 20 alongside the much anticipated Galaxy S10 series. In fact, earlier today, a leaked promotional video was shared by Slash Leaks and in there we can briefly see the said folding device giving us a quick look on what it would look like once officially out. You can watch it here.
