Realme 3 Now Official with a Php6.5K Price Tag, Realme 3 Pro Also Coming Soon

The Realme 3 is finally here! Well at least in India. But it's definitely coming to the Philippines as well, if those teasers from Realme Philippines are any indications. As expected and previously announced, Realme has just officially launched its latest smartphone offering in India today, the Realme 3.

Packaging

The packaging of the Realme 3 will consist of the phone itself, of course, a soft casing for immediate protection of the smartphone from scratches and smudges, a 10W charger, and a microUSB cable charger. Like the Realme C1, it does not seem to come with a pair of earphones in the box.

Processor, Memory, and Storage

In India, the Realme 3 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor and will be released in two configurations. One in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and another in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. That's for that market, but for some reason, when it hits the international shelves, the device will be equipped with the same MediaTek chipset with eight cores but a Helio P60 variant instead.

Chroma Boost and Nightscape?

These are the two camera modes that Realme is highlighting with this Realme 3 device. Chroma Boost works like HDR mode in other Android smartphones where it captures multiple frames of the same image and stack them up to produce a single photo with much more improved dynamic range and reduce noise. Nightscape on the other hand, is Realme's own version of Nigh Mode.

Cameras

Speaking of camera features, the Realme 3 is mounted with dual camera lenses on the back which offer 13MP with f1.8 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus with a 2MP secondary shooter for depth sensing. The rear cameras are also equipped with AI system especially Scene Recognition technology where they identify the type of subject that it being pictured such as food, sky, flowers etc, and smartly adjust color saturation for a much better quality and social media sharing-ready photos. On the front is a 13MP selfie camera with f2.0 aperture.

Display and Software

The Realme 3 will come with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen, HD+ display resolution, and a waterdrop notch that holds the front camera. The display is a 19:9 aspect ratio and it protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. And as for its operating system, it's going to have the latest Android 9 Pie with also the brand new ColorOS 6 on top.

There are a lot of exciting things to look forward to in this smartphone, and one of those is how good-looking this phone is on the outside. That's mainly due to its color options, the gradient ones are for the win. As you can see in the video below the back panels appear to be glossy and glass-like, but in fact they are made of polycarbonate materials and Realme just did a very good job on how the finish would look on the finished products.

In other words, the Realme 3 is another premium smartphone at first glance with entry level pricing attached to it.
