Realme 3 Pro Now Official and It Packs Real Upgrades

As promised, Realme India has officially launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro challenger called the Realme 3 Pro. Versus the non-Pro model of the Realme 3, though they look pretty much the same in terms of the outside appearance, this Pro one packs a ton of real upgrades, not just in RAM, not just in storage, not just in display resolution, but a lot more.

First off, the display on the Realme 3 Pro is now at Full HD+ with 2340 x 1080 resolution at 6.3", we still see the same waterdrop notch but the entire front panel is now protected by a much tougher Gorilla Glass 5. I am pretty happy with the Realme 3's display already even though it only has 720p resolution, so the Pro version should provide an even better viewing experience.

Next is in the processor, in case you are not so much of a fan of a Mediatek processor, perhaps you will be delighted to know that this Realme 3 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with Adreno 616 graphics processing unit or GPU. This should be quite powerful as well similar to the MediaTel Helio P60 found on the non-Pro sibling. Fan of Fornite or have been wanting to try to play that battle royale game? You will be happy to know that Fornite for Android is supported by this phone. Redmi Note 7 Pro is not. RAM and storage wise, as usual for a Realme phone, it will be released in two separate variants. 4GB + 64GB and  6GB + 128GB. Both will still support microSD card, which by the way, still has its own slot in addition to the dual LTE SIM slots, of up to 256GB in size.

Now for the camera, it still has dual camera setup on the back but it is now upgraded with 16MP primary sensor with f1.7 aperture and Sony IMX519 lens and a secondary depth sensing 5MP shooter. Plus LED flash, of course. Then on the selfie side of things, from 13MP on its sibling, it is now a staggering 25MP selfie shooter. The extremely famous and well-received Chroma Boost and Nightscape camera modes are expectedly returning with the Realme 3 Pro phone together with the Expert Mode, Portrait, AI Scene Detection as well as Slo-Mo. But with the slo-mo, it is now upgraded to capture videos at 960 fps or frames per second.  And videos can now record up to 4K at 30fps.

Like its sibling, the Realme 3 Pro is running on the latest Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 version. Yes both brand new and fresh mobile operating system. Fingerprint scanner is still mounted on the back, power button on the right and SIM tray and volume rocker on the left. Then the 3.5mm audiojack situated at the bottom together with the microUSB port, mic and speaker.

Even the battery/power department also got an upgrade. Well, sort of. First the battery on this Pro model has been reduced to just 4045mAh, still quite big though for a midrange, but the non-Pro has 4230mAh just to compare. The upgrade comes in the charging, the realme 3 Pro will be packed with a 20W VOOC 3.0 Fast Charging adapter. I heard, it is capable of fully charging the device in just 80 minutes.
