It has been a talk of the town for a while now that Nintendo is allegedly working on two additional versions of its super popular Nintendo Switch gaming console, one a smaller version and another more powerful one compared to the current Switch on the market. While no one knows yet as to when the upgraded and more expensive version will be released, if ever, the latest report coming from a Japanese outlet claims that the cheaper Switch variant will be out later this year.

According to Japan's Nikkei Newspaper citing their sources in the industry, Nintendo is currently working on two more versions of the Nintendo Switch. The report also claims that the Japanese gaming giant is ready to unleash the smaller and more affordable model of the Switch later this year. This particular version if found to be accurate, will not just focus on affordability but also on portability as many users still find the current Nintendo Switch a bit bigger to be carried outdoor.

This mini version, of course may mean sacrificing some of the current's features to achieve its goal. Reports suggests that the vibration feature and removable joy-cons may no longer be part of it but the capability to connect to a TV will still remain.

For now those are the latest rumors surrounding the upcoming versions of the original Nintendo Switch hand-held gaming console which has been around for more than two years now. Of course nothing is really official until the company itself makes the announcement or at least teasers.
