Honor 20 Series Will Launch in the Philippines on May 21

If the upcoming Honor 20 series if what you have been waiting for to be released in the Philippines, well the good news is it will also be launching in the local market this coming May 21 according to the company's Facebook page.

Leaks and teasers suggest that there will be a total of three variants under this series. The standard Honor 20 is one of them, a more powerful and feature-packed Honor 20 Pro is also expected and then of course the Honor 20 Lite which has been around for a little while now.

Needless to say, information about this yet-to-be-launched Honor 20 is very limited, at least if we are looking at the official details from the company itself. But if we take a look at the rumor mill, there we can find a lot of unconfirmed reports. One of those is that the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro is said to be sporting a Kirin 980 processor, the same chipset powering the recently-released Honow View 20 smartphone. The Pro model will come with RAM and storage configuration as huge as 8GB RAM and 256GB native storage, according to leaks again.

Camera wise we could be having a triple-lens camera setup on the back, just like many other midrange smartphones of today, with 48MP + 20MP + 8MP shooters completing the package, with a 32MP front facing camera for selfie needs. That's for the standard Honor 20 though. The Honor 20 Pro is reported to have even more exciting rear cameras, four of them on the back alone at 48MP + 16MP + 8MP + 2MP each.

On the display, rumors say there will be 6.1" for the standard and 6..5" for the Pro with AMOLED display technology. The Pro was leaked to sport a hole-punch notch on the display, whether that's accurate or not will have to be seen on May 21.

These are unofficial reports though, except for the launch date, so let's take them with a pinch of salt until Honor itself makes the launch official next week.
