Realme 3 Pro Will Launch in The Philippines on May 17

Currently, the newly Realme 3 Pro (learn more here) has been officially launched in India and Indonesia. In the next two weeks, Philippines will become the third country to finally have this most awaited smartphone as Realme officially confirmed on its PH Facebook page yesterday its arrival, and that will happen on May 17.

Compared to its non-Pro realme 3 variant, this device has a lot of upgrades that many realme fans in the Philippines will be excited to experience for a price that won't hurt their pocket (I hope). Like myself for example, I was so impressed with the realme 3 in terms of design, specs, and pricing, that I decided to get one myself in Radiant Blue. And now that this Pro brother is also coming to the Philippines, I am starting to think again. hahaha.

The realme 3 pro will be available in two RAM and storage variants, the rest of the design and specs will remain the same. There is one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and another with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both of the storage are still expandable via microSD card up to 256GB through its own dedicated mircoSD card slot.

One of the significant upgrades here is on the display. It now sports a Full HD+ display panel with dewdrop notch. The display on the realme 3 is already pretty impressive but a Full HD+ would provide much better viewing experience. The front camera is another thing here as it now offers a 25MP selfie shooter, while the rear is still a dual camera setup. The amazing Nightscape and Chroma Boost, Slo-Mo, and Expert camera modes are of course present in this Pro model.

Another exciting part here is in the battery department, while it packs a slightly smaller battery compared to the regular realme 3 version, it is still huge at 4025mAh and it now comes with a fast charging feature thanks to the 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge. Plus, I heard it will be able to play Fortnite game, which up until this very moment still supports a few devices where many of them are flagships.

Realme 3 Pro specs:
  • 6.3-inch Full HD+ Display
  • 2340 x 1080 resolution
  • Waterdrop Notch
  • Gorilla Glass 5
  • Octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor
  • Adreno 616 GPU
  • 4GB / 6GB RAM
  • 64GB / 128GB internal storage
  • Supports microSD card up to 256GB
  • 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera with f1.7 aperture, Depth Sensor, and LED flash
  • 25MP front camera with f2.0 aperture
  • Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS
  • Dual SIM
  • 4G LTE
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Nitro Blue, Carbon Gray, Lightning Purple
  • 20W VOOC 3.0 Fast Charge
  • 4045mAh battery
And obviously we will not know the official Philippine pricing as well as exact availability date for these latest offerings from Realme until formal launch on May 17.  But taking a look at the Indian and Indonesian pricing for these phones, it looks to be as aggressive as the standard Realme 3. And to give ourselves an idea of how much it would be once launched here, the 4GB+64GB variant is priced at 13,999 Rupees which translate to about Php10,500 and the 6GB+128GB model for 16,999 or roughly Php12,700.
