HMD Global Will Join IFA 2019 in Berlin: New Smartphones to be Launched?

For the very first time HMD Global will be joining the IFA Berlin tech expo that is set to take place on September 6 through 11, 2019. This was announced by HMD Global executive itself via their Twitter account. Juno Sarvikas, HMD Global's Chief product Officer, tweeted that they will be holding an event on September 5 in Berlin, Europe at 4PM local time, a day before the IFA 2019 officially begins.

Apart from that, nothing more was revealed, but rumor mill has something to add to this most especially about the upcoming Nokia-branded smartphones that might get launched at the said event.

Reports suggest that HMD Global might use the IFA Berlin platform as their next stage to formally launch two of its most talked about smartphones, the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2. Updated feature phones are said to be coming as well which are currently referred to as Nokia 110 (2019) and Nokia 2720 (2019).

Nokia 6.2 rumored specs:
  • 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with hole-punch
  • Snapdragon 660 processor
  • 48MP + 8MP + 5MP triple rear cameras
  • 3300mAh battery

Nokia 7.2 rumored specs:
  • 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with U-shaped notch
  • Snapdragon 660 processor
  • 48MP triple rear cameras
  • fingerprint scanner
  • 3500mAh battery
