More Details on the Realme 5 and 5 Pro Have Been Revealed

The world won't be officially seeing the upcoming Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro until its formal launch in India on August 20. But as early as today, we have been learning more and more about these most-anticipated smartphones. Thanks to the company's Twitter account and to India's largest online retailer Flipkart, we now know some key specs of the said Realme 5 series.

So far, it has been confirmed that the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will both have quad-camera setup on the back. For the 5 Pro we know, according to the Realme India CEO itself, that it will have a 48MP primary camera equipped with Sony IMX586 sensor for a much better mobile photography performance, an ultrawide, depth, and super macro sensors will complete the rest of the cameras. It appears though that the Realme 5, the non-Pro variant, won't have the same 48MP, some says its going to be just 16MP primary shooter. And oh, the Realme 5 series are the first to have quad-camera on the back.

This one is very exciting. The Realme 5 is revealed to sport a massive 5000mAh battery right out of the box, while we don't know yet if it's the same case for the Pro model. Although we do know that the Realme 5 Pro will come equipped with VOOC 3.0 Fast Charge technology, thanks to Realme's Twitter account, this promises up to 55% battery life in just 30 minutes of charging. This huge battery packs officially makes the Realme 5 to come with the largest battery among all the Realme smartphones.

In terms of processor, Snapdragon is the chosen one for the series. According to Geekbench listing, we are expecting an octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor to power the the two.

If you are not a fan of the waterdrop notch anymore, I am sorry to inform you that the cutout is still here to stay with the Realme 5 series. Also, teaser images on Flipkart hinted that the back panel of the devices will boast diamond-cut design similar to what we saw on Realme 3i smartphone.
