Confirmed: The First 64MP Camera-Equipped Smartphone is Called the Realme XT

At the official launch event of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth teased that there is one more exciting smartphone to come out before the year ends. Mr. Sheth teased that the first of their smartphone to be equipped with the newest 64MP camera sensor is to be called Realme XT.

The upcoming flagship smartphone will be equipped with Samsung's ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that was managed by Samsung to create as the first ever 64MP smartphone camera. This sensor was first teased by Realme CEO itself and was announced by Samsung a few months back without revealing which device to first offer this. Now, Realme XT, has just been named and it is now just a matter of waiting before we see how this 64MP sensor performs in real life situation. Below is the image that was teased by Madhav Sheth before claiming it was taken using that 64MP shooter.

Realme also confirmed that similar to the recently-launched Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the Realme XT will also boast four cameras on its rear. This means, this first 64PM primary shooter will be joined by three other more to complete the quad-shooter setup. We just don't know yet which sensors those will be, however, looking at the Realme 5 series, there are ultrawide, macro, and dept sensors.

As for the formal launch date, Madhav Sheth did not reveal exact date as to when but he did mention that it will be happening sometime next month, probably by the end of September.
