Samsung Finally Launches the new Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+

Yes you definitely read that right! Samsung unveiled not just one but two Galaxy Note 10 smartphones just a couple of days ago at its Unpacked Event in New York City. Just as the rumors and leaks had been speculating, the South Korean electronics giant launched two of its S-Pen equipped super flagship smartphones for the very first time since the Galaxy Note line was first introduced in November 2011.

Meet the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+.

So apart from having more than one options this time around what's new about these two? Well, one of the most noticeable changes is of course how impressive the display is. Both devices offer edge-to-edge with extremely thin bezel on all sides of the screen. Just like the Galaxy S10 series, these Notes now also sport the hole-punch cutout on the display. But instead of having them on the corner, it is now situated right in the middle of the upper screen holding the 10MP front camera. It's just sweet. Unlike the Galaxy S10+, there is no dual front camera setup found on any of these Galaxy Notes.

Having the standard and the plus versions of these smartphones, means one has more features and power while the other is more affordable. That said, one of those differences is in terms of the display. Samsung has been offering its Galaxy Note devices with Quad HD resolution for a few years now, and that is still actually the case with the Galaxy Note 10+. However, with the standard Galaxy Note 10, Samsung stepped back a little bit with only Full HD+ or 2280 x 1080 resolution. Both devices have Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display though. As for the storage, the Note 10 has 256GB right out of the box and no support for MicroSD card for storage expansion available and the Note 10+ in 256GB and 512GB. The Note 10+ has microSD card slot up to 1TB.

Apart from those, Samsung packed these two with a lot of upgrades and features that hardcore Note fans will be more excited to try. And here are just some of the new cool features of the Galaxy Note 10 series.

- Handwriting to text: With the use of the even more enhanced S-Pen, users can now write down handwritten notes on their Galaxy Note 10 in the Samsung Notes app and immediately convert them into digital text format. They can also export these files to other platforms like Microsoft Word. The notes can now also be customized by users for an added creativity and personality.

- Air Actions: This is the newest feature that Samsung added to the Galaxy Note 10's S-Pen. It allows users to control certain aspects of the device through gestures with the stylus pen. This also opens up a new world of functionalities not just for users but also for developers too.

- Samsung DeX for PC: The DeX is one of the features that I really like about the latest Galaxy Note smartphones as it allows me to connect the phone to a monitor and use is like a regular computer. With the Note 10 series, Samsung improved this functionality even further. Now, users can seemlessly connect their Galaxy Note 10 to not just monitors but also to fully functioning Windows PC and Mac computers. Managing files with their computers will definitely take to the next level.

- Link to Windows: Another addition is the Link to Windows which basically allows users to integrate their Note 10 to the Windows directly into the Quick Panel. With one click, users can connect to their Windows 10 PC. There, they can see notifications, send and receive messages, and review recent photos without pausing to look down at their phone.

- Premium Video Technology: The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 was also created with vloggers or video content creators in mind. Thanks to its improved camera technology, creators will not need extra gears or softwares to record and produce their best content yet. Live Focus is one these features that many of them will definitely love as it adds depth-of-field adjustments allowing them to blur the background and just focus on the subject. Zoom-in Mic, on the other hand, is also another great addition that amplifies the audio in frame and subjects that are in focus while eliminating background noise. Also the Super Steady stabilizes footage, and is now available in Hyperlapse mode for steady time-lapse videos.

- Built-in Video Editing function: Of course after recording a video, content creators need to put them together and edit out unnecessary clips. Samsung thought that too by adding a built-in video editor that can be used with the S-Pen so users won't need to use another third-party app to do so.

- Screen Recorder: Gamers and tutorial creators will be happy to know that with the Galaxy Note 10, they can now record the actions on their screen and share to the world. The S-Pen is also compatible with this feature as well as the picture-in-picture in case users want to add commentary while recording.

- Night Mode: The Night Mode is just one of those most wanted camera features on a smartphone these days. And luckily, Samsung has added their version of it on the Galaxy Note 10. So users who love taking photos at low-light environment with their friends or love to do some night photography every now and then, the Note 10 is now more equipped and up to the task.

- Wireless PowerShare: This feature allows users to wirelessly share their battery power through the back panel of the Galaxy Note 10 and charge some of their wireless charging-capable devices like earbuds, smartwatches, and smartphones.

- Gaming and More: The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is features the world's slimmest vapor chamber cooling system, which delivers optimal performance during gameplay while keeping the device slim and sleek. With the AI-based Game Booster, the phone optimizes performance and power comsumption depending on the game. And with the PlayGalaxy Link P2P streaming service, users can pick up where they left off on any PC game and enable them to continue playing on the move with no need for local storage.

- RIP headphone jack: This may come a surprise to you, but Samsung has finally decided to formally ditch off the 3.5mm audiojack beginning with the new Galaxy Note 10 series.
