Xiaomi Mi A3 with Android One and 4030mAh battery Launched

Xiaomi just launched yet another smartphone, the one that will definitely appeal to an even more fans from around the globe, most especially to those who have been wanting to try a Xiaomi-made smartphone but does not like its MIUI interface that much. It is because the newly launched Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone is one of the rarest Xiaomi devices out there that is under the Google Android One program. This means stock version of Android Pie and a promise of two major software updates in the future. Android Q is just around the corner.

What is Android One? It is a special partnership with Google and a smartphone manufacturer like Xiaomi where they are to create Google-approved smartphones that are only to run stock versions of Android platform. This means no MIUI skin on top of it, no bloatware, not even ads, and the sweetest is the guaranteed major software updates for the next two years. So with this Mi A3, you are assured to get the upcoming Android Q and Android R updates in the future.

In addition to the Android One offering, there are a lot to like about this Xiaomi Mi A3. First while it only has HD+ resolution with its 6-inch panel, it does sport AMOLED display quality which should provide a nice viewing experience. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor and in terms of storage and RAM, will come in two options - 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. MicroSD card support is still there, USB Type-C as well and the 3.5mm headphone jack is returning.

Mobile photography needs, here there are three cameras on its rear with the primary shooter being pegged at 48MP and supported by an 8MP with ultrawide lens and 2MP for depth sensing. On the selfie side, there is a 32MP front camera. In-display fingerprint scanner is also present here with face unlock as another option.Powering the device is a 4030mAh battery that has 18W Quick Charge 3.0 support right off the bat.

Right now, the Xiamo Mi A3 is now available in India for a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the base model and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB/128GB model, that's about Php9,500 and Php11,700, respectively. Xiaomi Philippines has confirmed that this device will also be released here. However, local pricing has yet to be revealed.
