A More Affordable Honor Band 5i With Built-in USB-A for Charging Unveiled


A brand new smart band has just been launched by Huawei's sub-brand called the Honor Band 5i. This is a watered down version of the Honor Band 5 that was unveiled just this July. Though the Band 5i sports almost similar design to its more high-end brother, it offers a unique feature for a much more affordable price tag. It has a built-in USB-A charging connector placed in the silicon strap.

This built-in USB-A port in the Honor Band 5i makes charging a lot more convenient as users won't be needing special charging adapter just to recharge the accessory. Simply plug the band to any USB-A port and it will start charging.

The Honor Band 5i's screen offers 0.96-inch color display with 160 x 80 resolution. The screen can display up to 30 characters for notifications. The battery size was not mentioned about is said to last up to 9 days on a single charge. Like its predecessor, the Band 5i has the same fitness and tracking modes.

The Honor Band 5i is set to go on sale in China on November 1 for only CNY 159 or about Php1,100 when converted. There is no word yet if this wearable will hit the Philippine market.
