The Newly Unveiled Realme X2 Pro is the new Flagship Killer


After so many leaks and teasers about the upcoming Realme X2 Pro, Realme has finally and formally unveiled its newest smartphone in China sporting flagship level specs for a midrange asking price. If or when this device hits the international market, it's going to be the new real flagship killer. Read on to know why.

The new Realme X2 Pro boasts Full HD+ AMOLED Display, 90Hz display refresh rate, Snapdragon 855 Plus, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage, Vapor Chamber Cooling system for hardcore gamers, 64MP quad rear camera, 50W SuperVOOC Fast Charge tech, and 4000mAh battery pack to name a few making the device one of the most powerful smartphones out there in the wild. What makes this phone even more appealing, apart from being made by Realme that is very well known for pricing their devices way lower than the competition, is course the X2 Pro's sticker price. It starts at CNY 2,699 or about Php19,700 when directly converted to our currency.

On the camera side of the Realme X2 Pro, there we see four of them where the primary shooter is the 64MP Samsung GW1 lens accompanied by 13MP telephoto sensor that is capable of up to 2x optical zoom and up to 20x hybrid zoom. The third rear shooter is pegged at 8MP with ultra-wide angle lens, and then a 2MP sensor for depth or portrait imaging. Like other Realme devices, this flagship phone also has the Realme's proprietary Chroma Boost and Nightscape 2.0 camera feature for a much better mobile photography experience. Even the 16MP front camera has EIS and Nightscape 2.0 mode.

Another first on a Realme device is the 50W SuperVOOC flash charge technology. The company said it can charge its 4000mAh battery in about 35 minutes from 0-100%. The phone comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support right out of the box.

In China, the Realme X2 Pro is priced at CNY 2,699 (Php20K) for 6GB/64GB, CNY 2,899 (Php21K) for 8GB/128GB, and CNY 3,299 (Php24K) for the 12GB/256GB. It will be initially available in the Chinese market staring October 18 and then will head to the Indian market sometime in December of this year. Hopefully, the Philippines will be the next stop.
