Redmi K30 Teases Punch-Hole Dual Front Camera Similar to Galaxy S10+

Yes Redmi is already preparing for the launch of its next big thing following the success of the K20 or Mi 9T series. And it has been confirmed by none other than Redmi General Manager itself Lu Weibing that the K30 smartphone is indeed coming very soon sporting 5G network support for the very first time as well as a punch-hole selfie camera. What's more, the company has just given us a first official look at the said upcoming smartphone that took place during the China launch of the Redmi 8 series in its home country.

As mentioned, aside from the 5G support, the said Redmi K30 will sport punch-hole selfie camera which is a first from Xiaomi's sub-brand. And based on the showcased image, the implementation is very similar to Samsung's Galaxy S10+ smartphone - dual front camera situated on the upper right corner of the display aligned horizontally. And the bezels are extremely thin too. So with the upcoming K30 series, assuming a K30 Pro is also coming alongside it, Redmi is already ditching the pop-up selfie camera mechanism found on its current K20 series (or Mi 9T series depending on where you are) in favor of the punch-hole implementation.

It was also further revealed that the Redmi K30 will be able to support dual 5G (SA and NSA), meaning the device will support both the Standalone and Non-Standalone modes of the 5G network.

Apart from those teasers and additional details, nothing more was revealed by Redmi not even the expected launch date for the K30 phone. Some speculate that it could arrive as early as first quarter of 2020. Stay tuned as knowing Redmi, we will definitely hear more about this device as we get closer to the official launch date.
