Realme X50 Pro 5G will launch via livestream on Feb 24

realme x50 pro 5g launch

Realme's newest 5G smartphone's arrival is just around the corner

Realme's upcoming 5G smartphone, called the X50 Pro 5G, will be officially launched on February 24 via global livestream to be hosted in Madrid, Spain. The broadcast will begin at 5PM local time on the same date and viewers can catch the livestream through Realme's YouTube channel, Facebook page and its official website on realme.com.

With the theme "Speed of the Future," the online launch will underscore the brand's remarkable growth and innovations since joining the smartphone scene just a couple of years ago. According to data from Counterpoint, Realme currently sits at the number 7 as the top smartphone brand in the world and in number 4 in the Philippines. Compared to 2018, Realme achieved an 808% growth.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is the brand's first Snapdragon 865 smartphone

Yes you read that right, the upcoming smartphone will be powered by the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 865 processor. In fact, this is going to be the first device from the brand to sport such a potent chip from Qualcomm. If you can recall, the company has already launched its first 5G smartphone called the X50 5G, but this one is powered by Snapdragon 765G. This none-Pro variant is not launched in the Philippines yet, but the company has announced their plan to do so. Hopefully both will make their way to the local market soon.

And while the company will not officially introduce the Realme X50 Pro 5G to the world until February 24th, the brand has already confirmed some of the phone's key specs. Those include RAM and storage sizes of up to 12GB and 256GB, respectively, Android 10 with Realme UI as well as support for 65W SuperDart fast charging feature. And possibly the sweetest of all is the 90Hz screen refresh rate with Super AMOLED display tech right out of the box.

This one is not confirmed yet, but the Realme has already hinted (see the image above) that the X50 Pro 5G will sport a display with dual punch-hole for the front camera.
