Realme becomes the top 4 smartphone brand in the Philippines

It's no secret that Realme is one of the most popular and successful smartphone brands in the Philippines as of writing. They just entered the local market in November of 2018 and since then the company has been taking the local smartphone scene by storm. And today, Realme Philippines is thrilled to announce another huge milestone it has just achieved. As of last quarter of 2019, Realme is the 4th largest smartphone brand in the Philippines.

According to Canalys, a leading market analyst firm, Realme Philippines grew its year-on-year sell-in shipment by a staggering 709%, the fastest of any smartphone brand. That's equivalent to nine percent of the country's total unit shares as of last year's quarter. The same global study showed that the Philippines recorded a growth of 28% in total smartphone shipments in the same quarter.

2019 has been a strong year for Realme PH where the brand has launched a few smartphones strategically targeting different price segments in the local market. During the year, we have witnessed the launch of Realme 3, Realme C, and Realme 5 series as well as the Realme XT. This has contributed a lot to Realme's success in the local market. Not only that, the brand's record-breaking feat can also be attributed to the wide array of partnerships it has sealed in the previous year such as with Qualcomm, Home Credit, and SM Supermalls. Realme has also cemented its stake in the local mobile gaming industry by establishing a strong partnership with Mobile Legends' game developer Moonton.

Of course the Filipinos' access to these value for buck smartphones from Realme would not be more convenient without the company's effort in making sure there are more channels for its fans to get the products through. Realme's partnership with Shopee and Lazada has contributed a lot to its growth. And for its offline channels, the company boasts a total of 4,500 partner stores, 280 kiosks, and 24 concept stores nationwide.

For the year 2020, Realme will continue to work even harder and provide even more powerful and yet still affordable smartphones in the local market. 5G smartphone from the brand is coming our way soon. In fact, Realme has been closely working with local telecom operators to ensure its compatibility with its devices. Realme said, once the local 5G network and infrastructure is ready, Filipinos can expect the most attainable 5G smartphones to come from Realme.

"We are much delighted to share this news to the Realme community as this would not be possible without their constant support and loyalty to the brand. We are thankful for the support and patronage we are receiving. 2020 will be the year that we grow further with more competitive smartphones, AIoT, and 5G inclusion. Expect that we shall leap to greater heights with more Filipinos ready to enjoy the real value and the latest technology," shares Realme Philippines Marketing Director Austine Huang.
