Back in February, Motorola was supposed to have a launch event but it was cancelled due to Coronavirus threat. Though the company did not say what they had in store for the attendees and for the world, it was expected that it would be the Motorola Edge+ being one of the devices to be revealed at the event. Up until today, it is not known yet as to when the event will finally take place. While we wait for Motorola to reveal the rescheduled launch of the device, more and more leaks and rumors about its flagship phone is flooding the internet. Most recently, leaked photos showing the Motorola Edge+ in its full glory.

That waterfall display and tiny punch hole though

Thanks to renowned smartphone leaker, Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, we now have a much clearer look at the upcoming Motorola flagship smartphone called the Edge+.  By looking at these leaked images from Evan, we can clearly see why the name. There we can observe the curved display on the edges of the device very similar to the "waterfall display" of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

The images, if found to be accurate, also confirm a couple of specs the rumor mill has been talking about. For example, the smartphone is rumored to sport a triple rear camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor together with 16MP and 8MP secondary and tertiary cameras. For the selfie and video conferencing needs, that tiny punch hole notch is said to be housing a 25MP camera.

Full HD+ AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint sensor

Other unconfirmed reports claim that the Motorola Edge Plus will be offered with a huge 6.67-inch screen with Full HD+ AMOLED display. And just like many of the new and upcoming flagship devices, the Egde+ could also be sporting a 90Hz refresh rate. Then since it's a flagship phone and has AMOLED panel, an in-display fingerprint sensor is also expected to be available here.

The Motororal Edge+ is expected to have either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. As for its native storage, maybe at least 128GB right out of the box.

Now for its battery, Motorola could pack this one with at least 5000mAh battery with fast charging support.

I have to say though that if these images and speculations about the Motorola Edge+  are proven to be accurate, it's going to be exciting not just for the company but most especially for fans who are still out there cheering up for the company's return. And that this Motorola Edge Plus' design will be one of the most up-to-date and good-looking smartphones that Motorola is going to have in a long while now. I just hope that it's really good in and out and that it will perform well in the global market once officially released.

However, with the current and uncertain situations surrounding the Coronavirus or Covid-19 outbreak that's causing problems around the world, it's hard to tell when most businesses and events will go back to its normal flow. And that includes upcoming smartphone launches and releases like this one from Motorola. So the only thing we can do for now is wait.
