Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is back

We all know that HMD Global is fond of bringing some of Nokia's legendary and iconic phones back to life with added features and updated modern looks. Today, through the company's latest launch event, that tradition goes on. The company, this time around, is resurrecting the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic feature phone.

As expected, it's got upgrades on aesthetics but still bears a lot of resemblance from the original iteration released more than a decade ago. The original black colorway with red accent together with the side-mounted music controls are still found on the Nokia 5310 2020 edition. The dual stereo speakers are still front-facing on this one. In addition to the black, a white variant with red accent will also be released.

The Nokia 5310 has 8MB of RAM and 16MB internal storage. Of course the storage is expandable via microSD card, it supports up to 32GB addition storage enough to hold thousands of songs. On the inside are the new Series 30+ OS for feature phones, and then for the battery, the phone is equipped with 1200mAh one which should last pretty long. In fact, HMD Global says it offers up to 7.5 hours of talktime, and up to 30 days of standby time.

Supports dual SIM but no 3G capability though

It supports dual SIM functionality too, but only limited to 2G network.

The device has 3.5mm audiojack and can also connect via Bluetooth 3.9. FM Radio is pretty much guaranteed on this one as well. The front panel features a 2.4-inch QVGA display with alpha-numeric physical keyboard.

There is now camera on the Nokia 5310, but don't get too excited as it is only equipped with a VGA camera lens with LED flash. No front camera added. For charging, a microUSB port will do the job.
