realme x50 pro 5g

Most powerful smartphone from Realme yet

Via a global livestream launch event held in Madrid, Spain earlier this week, Realme has officially launched the much awaited and talked about X50 Pro 5G. As the name suggests, this device is a 5G ready smartphone and is among the first device to be powered by the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 865 5G processor from Qualcomm. The Realme X50 Pro 5G packs a ton of flagship-level specs and features for a pricing that's more attractive and competitive, typical of a realme device.

As Realme's first 5G flagship smartphone, the device supports the two kinds of 5G networks namely SA (Standalone Access) and NSA (Non-Standalone Access) including the world's mainstream 5G frequency bands n1, n3, n41, n78, and n79. That said, the X50 Pro 5G will allows users to access a wide coverage of network internationally. And while it is a 5G-equipped smartphone, it still supports older connectivity such as 3G and 4G LTE. This means, the device is not just to be released in countries where 5G is already widely adopted. Take for example India, they will be one of the first markets to have their hands on this device and yet they still don't have 5G network available. So for Philippine fans, it is highly likely that we will also get this smartphone soon.

The specs and features of Realme X50 Pro 5G

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is offering a pretty stunning display design and technology. Right out of the box, users will be greeted with a huge 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display panel sporting a Full HD+ resolution. Thankfully, the screen does not have waterdrop notch anymore as it now sports pill-shaped cutout on the upper left of the screen holding the 32MP dual selfie camera. Also, it now packs 90Hz refresh rate on the display.

In addition to the dual front cameras, there are also four more on its back where the primary shooter sports 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor. Secondary shooter has 12MP with telephoto lens, 8MP for ultrawide, and a fourth 2MP monochrome sensor. The camera alone sounds pretty interesting already. Of course here we can expect camera features that recent Realme smartphones have been offering such as Chroma Boost, Nightscape, Panorama, Slo-Mo and many more.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G is running the latest Realme UI based on the most recent Android 10 mobile OS. Only a few Realme devices are running this latest UI, and so far the reception for it has been positive. So having one right out of the box is something that is actually nice as users won't need to wait for an over-the-air software update to finally experience Realme UI. Just to mention, the new Realme C3 (coming to the Philippines next week) is also another device to sport Realme UI upon availability. It's a entry-level and super budget friendly smartphone.

Huge battery and 65W SuperDart Flash Charge technology

In the battery department, a 4200mAh battery pack is embedded on the inside. And together with this is a 65W SuperDart Flash Charge technology. We don't know how fast that can be in the real world but according to Realme, it can fill up its battery from zero to 100 percent in just 35 minutes. At the same time, the Realme X50 Pro 5G is also compatible with both 30W VOOC 3.4 Flash Charge and 18W QC / PD fast charging.
