The Honor 30 Pro+ is just stunning

It's a great day for Honor fans around the globe as the company just officially released its Honor 30 series of smartphones since a couple of days ago. One of the said devices is the Honor 30 Pro+ and as you may have already guessed, this is the most powerful of the trio - Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro being the other two in the series.

Looking at these official images of the Honor 30 Pro+, the phone looks so gorgeous and so aligned with today's flagship devices from bigger players like Samsung and Huawei. This is the most beautiful smartphone that Honor has made and released so far in terms of design. And also, looking at the specs and features this device offers, this is a very promising and exciting phone, not to mention its relatively much lower asking price compared to other flagships in the market.

Upfront, the 30 Pro+ offers a huge 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate which is now becoming the new norm in high midrage to flag carrier smartphone offerings from many brands. The sides of the phone are curved, which I think is a first from Honor.

The Honor 30 Pro+ is powered by the latest and most powerful Kirin 990 processor from Huawei. This chip is integrated with 5G support which makes the phone also 5G ready. Working with that Snapdragon 865-rival is either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there is only one option, 256GB.

The cameras captures 4K at 60fps

The Honor 30 Pro+, as mentioned in the title of this post, has three cameras on the back and a dual selfie camera setup on the front. For the rear, the main sensor is headed by a 50MP shooter equipped with Sony IMX700 sensor. Its secondary camera is pegged at 8MP, it is a periscope camera with telephoto sensor, 5x optical zoom and up to 50x hybrid zoom functionalities. Third camera on the back is a 16MP sensor with ultrawide features. On the front, the 32MP main selfie camera is accompanied by a 8MP secondary snapper with ultrawide lens.

And yes, the rear cameras can capture up to 4K videos with 60 frames-per-second (fps) rate.

Battery, fast charging and more

Keeping the phone operational is a 4000mAh battery. As expected from a flagship device nowadays, it's got a fast charge technology at 40W. It can do wireless charging too at 27W. And also the phone can double as a powerbank too through its reverse charging feature, though I am not sure if it's through wired or wireless method.

The fingerprint reader is right in the display, thanks to its AMOLED panel. If you are worried about its ports, you will be delighted to know that it still has that 3.55mm audio jack for audio listening. For charging, there is USB Type-C port.

And while it does not have Google Mobile Services, since the Honor brand is under Huawei, it's Android 10 with MagicUI 3.1 on top takes advantage of the ever-growing AppGallery for downloading apps.
