At the launch, of course we will know more about the smartphone itself together with its official pricing, availability as well as pre-order bundles, if any.
In addition to the launching date, Realme Philippines has also revealed that the Realme 6i with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage and a powerful 48MP quad camera setup will be a "sub-Php10K mobile phone" aimed at budding photographers, content creators, and mobile gaming enthusiasts.
"May 13 is an exciting day for all of our Filipino fans! Realme Philippines aims to unleash the power of the youth by offering a smartphone they can use in honing their potentials. We believe that the realme 6i is an affordable lifestyle device that can aid every young and aspiring photographer, gamer, and content creator in achieving their goals. We hope that through this smartphone, we can help young dreamers move forward," shares Realme Philippines Vice President for Marketing Austine Huang.
There is a lot be excited about this upcoming Realme 6i apart from its affordable price tag. For a start, this is the first smartphone in the world to harness the full potential of the new MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor which was only launched this last February. It is also one of the few Realme smartphones to ship out with the brand new Realme UI based on Android 10 OS right out of the box which offers tons of improvements in terms of looks and functions compared to the previous ColorOS UI.
Like every Realme smartphone release, the 6i also offers unique design and color options. It will come in trendy White Milk and Green Tea colorways. The phone's overall looks is created by industrial design master Naoto Fukasawa who is the same brain behind the design of Realme's flagship lineup - the X Series.
The Realme 6i also promises to provide the best smartphone camera experience on a budget, thanks to its AI-powered four cameras on its back with the primary shooter pegged at 48MP. Accompanying this main camera are 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP portrait lenses. On the front, together with the 6.5-inch 720p display, is a 16MP selfie shooter housed in the waterdrop notch.
Under the hood is a massive and definitely long-lasting 5000mAh battery pack. Not only that, this phone is also packed with 18W fast charger. And thankfully, microUSB port is no more on this one, USB Type-C port is taking over.
Again, official launch will be on May 13 via livestream at 7pm on Realme Philippines Facebook page. The brand is inviting everyone to tune in to get a chance to win a brand new Realme 6i smartphone. You can watch the livestream here.
