Android Go-powered Nokia C2 now on pre-order on Shopee for only Php3,490

nokia c2 philippines

It was initially launched in March of this year here in the Philippine but the release was eventually delayed due to the implementation of quarantine in the whole of Luzon. Today, this Android Go-powered entry level smartphone from HMD Global, the Nokia C2, is finally here and is now available for pre-order exclusively from Shopee until June 12, 2020.

Exclusive discount via Shopee

The Nokia C2 bears a regular price sticker of Php3,790. However, as part of the on-going Shopee 6.6 Super Flash Sale, those who will pre-order it from Shopee from today until June 12, will be able to take advantage of 8% off by using the discount code GADGETZONE8. Discounted price will be Php3,490 at checkout.

After the said pre-order period, the Nokia C2 will remain an online-only release exclusive through Shopee between June 13 and 19, 2020 for the official retail price of Php3,790. And then will be made available through physical stores nationwide starting June 20.

Nokai C2 now supports 4G LTE

Like its predecessor which is the Nokia C1 released locally earlier this year, the Nokia C2 is also powered by the Go Edition of Android Pie mobile OS. Main benefits of an Android Go Edition smartphone, apart from its super affordable price tag, is that it is not data-hungry of a smartphone of which Google specifically designed the OS for. Through Go versions of YouTube, Chrome, GMail, Maps, Google Assistant apps and more, users will save a lot of data and enjoy all of their digital content all at the same time.

Also one of its main upgrades from the Nokia C1, is it now supports 4G LTE network connectivity right out of the box. That's on top of the much higher display resolution and bigger 2800mAh battery pack.

Speaking of the display, the Nokia C2 boasts 5.7-inch HD+ LCD screen with 1440 x 720 display resolution. Inside is a quad-core Unisoc processor paired with 1GB of RAM and an expandable 16GB internal storage. It supports microSD card up to 64GB. As for its cameras, there are 5MP shooters both for the front and back cameras. The Nokia C2 will be available in Cyan and Black color options.

"Following the Nokia C1's success of reaching more Filipinos as an accessible technology, we now bring the most accessible 4G Nokia smartphone yet to the Philippines. We continue to put our customers' best interest first and we will not stop broadening our smartphone profile that just keeps getting better. Featuring a flourishing line-up that can benefit and cater to more fans, our smartphone profile offers Nokia mobile products at different price points to fit fans' budget, lifestyle and needs." said Sancho Chak, General Manager for Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand, HMD Global.
