Realme X3 SuperZoom is Launching in the Philippines on July 9

First realme flagship smartphone in PH

For the very first time since the brand entered the Philippines a couple of years back, realme Philippines is now bringing their X series to the country, their flagship smartphone series. In this case, we will be meeting the newly launched realme X3 SuperZoom phone. 

realme Philippines announced the X3 SuperZoom's official local launch date which is to happen on July 9, 2020. As expected, it will be a digital launch or will be done via livestream through the brand's Facebook page and YouTube channel. The livestream event is to begin at 12 noon. 

"We are happy to announce that we are once again launching a device that will surely enrich the digital lifestyle of Filipinos. Join us on July 9 as we announce the local availability of our flagship star-shooter, realme X3 SuperZoom! We are excited to champion real smartphone value in the flagship segment through this new device," shares realme Philippines Vice President for Marketing Austine Huang.

Periscope lens with up to 60x super zoom

The X3 SuperZoom is the first realme device in the flagship tier, bringing the brand's latest and most advanced photography innovations. realme says, this is the only smartphone in its price segment to have a 64MP quad-rear camera set-up that is equipped with a 5x periscope telephoto lens with up to 60x SuperZoom, hence the name. 

The realme X3 SuperZoom sports 64MP main camera on the back with Samsung GW1 sensor. The next rear camera is pegged at 8MP with ultrawide lens, there is another 8MP and this is the one that has a periscope-style lens enabling the phone to do up to 5x optical and 60x digital zooms, the fourth camera is a 2MP shooter fro macro photography. While on the front is a 32MP + 8MP dual selfie camera in a pill-shaped punch hole cutout on the upper left part of the screen. 

Sports 120Hz refresh rate

Speaking of the screen, the X3 SuperZoom has 6.57-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a staggering 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Inside the phone is the powerful Snapdragon 855+ processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of RAM and storage, looks like 8GB / 12GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB internal storage options will be made available in the Philippines next week, but that may not be the case though. We will see. 

Sadly, it does not have AMOLED display, so there is no in-display fingerprint reader on this one. Instead, the print reader is side-mounted, like on the realme 6 series, which is integrated with the power/lock key. As for color options, there will be Arctic White and Glacier Blue.

As for its battery, there will be a 4200mAh battery pack and it comes with 30W Dart Charge.
